Wych Elm's Multi-Media Lair

I had no idea that a programme as mainstream as ‘The One Show’ had covered this story; thought it was little known outside the area from which it originated. My father is from the Black Country and when we used to visit the area as a child we’d drive near Hagley Wood and he’d tell us the tale of the skeleton called ‘Bella’ that was found in the tree. Naturally, being a young child and already having an interest in ‘things that go bump in the night’, I found this fascinating. On a side note my recent endeavour to trace my family tree found that my dad’s family managed that pub for a while when it was called ‘The Gypsy’s Tent’ but I don’t believe their time there coincided with the story. I hope those who watch the video find it as intriguing as I do. I would also recommend following this person’s YouTube especially if you miss Michael Aspel’s ‘Strange But True?’
